| Purpose of Fee | Used to buy mitigation land, restore that land for habitat use, manage the land, and administer the Natomas Basin Conservancy in perpetuity. |
| Description of Fee | A Habitat Conservation Plan (HCP) was adopted by the Sacramento City Council on August 17, 1997 and affects the Natomas Area as defined in the adopted project area map. This Plan allows development to proceed within the existing City limits while providing for the protection of listed or candidate threatened or endangered species. The fee is paid before the land is disturbed. Projects that include construction of public improvements pay the fee to Dev Eng and Finance at issuance of grading permit. Projects not including public improvements pay at issuance of the first Building permit. |
